Fifth grade students have an excitement for learning because their world is becoming 'bigger.' They have a curiosity for the unknown and a zest for challenging experiences. In addition to developing critical thinking and problem solving skills, fifth graders are becoming independent learners and active participants in their own education. Fifth grade students are learning to appreciate the uniqueness within themselves and tolerate the differences in their peers. Most importantly, these students are mature enough to take pride in their work and are becoming future leaders in their school and community. |
